Calling all Father-figures and other adult male role models,
October 1 from 6:30-7:30 PM we will be having our 1st annual Fathers and Kids' Pizza Night at our school. You will meet here at the school cafeteria at 6:30 PM for FREE pizza and drinks, as well as door prizes. At 7:00 PM, we will have a presentation about our new Watch DOGS (Dads of Great Students) Program. Watch DOGS is a program being used by schools across America which helps them to be positively impacted by committed involvement of fathers and father-figures in their student's life. Our goal is to have you spend at least one day this year at school to be a positive role model and to provide an extra set of eyes and ears.
Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads, adult brothers, coaches, tai kwon do instructors, youth pastors... this is your chance to have a night out with your student in a fun atmosphere at school. We recognize that some of our students lack an adult make role model, and if that is the case for you, then please reach out to our counselor so that we can brainstorm how to include your child in this program too. We are committed to finding a way for every student at Marvista to be a part of this.
In order to participate, you need to do two things:
1. RSVP via email Mr. Ritsema or turn in the information slip so we can have an accurate head count for the pizza!
2. Mark your calendars! 6:30 - 7:30 PM on October 1st. And buy a WatchDOG t-shirt for $15, which will be the official uniform for our WatchDOGS while on campus!
