Marvista Family Message for Oct. 8

Marvista Family Message for Oct. 8

Greetings Marvista Families!

We are already into our second month of school, my how time does fly.  Fall is here!

One part of my job these days is that most weeks I produce a video called Marvista Moment for classes to watch together and bring the community together, teaching/encouraging along the way.  For this coming week, the video is all about words of kindness and how they can lift a person’s spirits and inspire.  I’m sure most of us can point to something kind someone said to us that was deeply impactful and life-giving for us, and we want to encourage our students at Marvista to use their words to build instead of tear down.  Particularly this week, we want to highlight that and become a stronger community!

Here is how you can partner with us: would you set time aside to talk to your student about the power of our words?  Maybe share a story of how someone lifted you up with their words of kindness.  Give your student an opportunity to share as well.  Maybe have a family challenge to find someone to encourage at school/work each day and everyone report back at the dinner table!

There is already so much kindness happening everywhere I look at Marvista, together we can help our students and community go to the next level in using our words to become even stronger, healthier and more hopeful that we already are.

Warm Regards,
