Marvista Family Message for March 31

Marvista Family Message for March 31

Hello Marvista Families,

I have officially transitioned into my new role at Marvista: Dean of Students. I am so thankful to have this opportunity within this community I love so much and have been a part of for the past eight years. In the last two weeks I have already gotten to meet many students and catch up with some who were in my kindergarten class years ago!

A large part of my new work includes serving as the Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) lead. With Spring break coming up, this got me thinking about how families can keep the spirit of PBIS alive during this school break! There are four school-wide expectations we use to teach students how to practice positive behaviors:

  • Be Respectful
  • Be Responsible
  • Be Safe
  • Be Kind

Over Spring break, whether you find yourself at home, on vacation, at a restaurant, at the park, or elsewhere, try discussing with your child(ren) how they can uphold these behaviors in each space.

I hope you have a wonderful break and I look forward to seeing students again on April 10th!

Sincerely,

Stephanie Moeller
