SCHOOL DISTRICT SCHEDULE - Please be sure to check the school's Year-at-a-Glance calendar for days off, early dismissal days and more.
PLEASE CHECK THE LOST & FOUND - Our lost and found is overflowing with coats, sweatshirts, hats, water bottles, and other misc. personal items. It is in the main lobby so you can check at arrival or dismissal times.
PLEASE DRESS YOUR STUDENT(S) FOR THE WEATHER - With the cold and wet weather here, it is important that your student is dressed for the weather. We rarely cancel outdoor recess and before and afterschool line up is outside.
ENTIRE CHANGE OF CLOTHES - All students in grades K-2 should have an entire change of clothes in a Ziploc bag, stored in their backpack or cubby, for emergency use. We even encourage it for students in grades 3-5. We do not have extra clothes if your child slips in the mud at recess or spills milk in their lap, etc.
PLEASE LIMIT VISITS TO THE SCHOOL for dropping off student personal items such as water bottles, library books, homework, etc. This will help limit interruptions in the classrooms.
DOWNLOAD OUR MOBILE APP - Download the Parent VUE mobile app to track how your student is doing in school. Parent VUE lets parents and guardians view their child’s assignments, grades and attendance, message teachers and review student records. You will be able to see information for all your children at any Highline school with a single login. You can also send messages in your own language, and they will be automatically translated.
CHECK OUT SCHOOL MENUS - School meals are available to all students at no cost this year. Even though meals are at no cost for everyone, some families will be asked to complete an income survey to access other discounts and benefits. School menus are online and Income Survey are on the website.
DAILY SCHEDULE This school year's schedule is on our website under the tab "About Us" and "Daily Schedule" with recess and lunch times by grade level.
EARLY DISMISSAL - Please notify the teacher via email or a note prior to school if your child will be picked up early. Please remember that all early dismissals will need to be picked by 3:15 PM on regular hour days (most Mon-Thur.) or 1:45 PM on early dismissal Fridays. As it gets closer to dismissal time, it can get hectic and traffic can be challenging. All doors are locked so please allow time to call and be let in to sign your student out and show your ID. We appreciate your understanding.
