Due to unforeseen delays in the transition, report cards will be delayed. Families will be notified on ParentSquare when report cards are ready.
This school year, we are transitioning to a digital report card for elementary students. The first report card will be available through ParentVUE on Monday, December 2. Families will also have the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress with teachers during student-led conferences.
How Will It Be Different?
- Report cards will no longer be printed. Report cards will be available on ParentVUE on Monday, December 2.
- Each report card will focus on the standards taught and scored that term and relevant standards from previous terms.
- Music and PE grades will be more detailed, with specific standards fully outlined rather than general effort and knowledge scores.
Why Are We Changing?
This digital report card format will be more accurate and specific to each student while saving money and staff time.
How to Access Report Cards
Families can find report cards on ParentVUE. ParentVUE lets parents and guardians see their child’s assignments, grades and attendance. You can see records for all your children at any Highline school with a single login.
If you’re new to Highline or have never activated your account, you may need to set up your ParentVUE account. You need an activation key, which your school sent to your email address on file. If you need your activation key, please reach out to your school.

If you would like a printed copy of your report card, you can request one from your school.
Are there any Changes to Secondary Report Cards?
No, the report card process for secondary schools has not changed. Middle and high school families will have access to report cards in ParentVUE on November 15. A basic version with course grades will be mailed in late November. Families can view additional details on their students’ progress on standards in ParentVUE.
The Standards-Based Grading Difference
Last year, we moved to standards-based grading (SBG) to provide clearer feedback on student progress in specific learning areas. SBG ensures that grades reflect a student’s academic performance and understanding of the material rather than their behavior or effort.
