Your Voice Matters
Time is running out to vote in the November 5 general election. If you haven't yet, this weekend is a great time to review your ballot. Check trusted sources, make your choices, sign the envelope, and take it to a ballot drop box.
Not Registered?
If you are eligible, you can still register in person at a vote center until 8:00 p.m. on November 5.
Why Vote? Does it Matter?
Yes, voting matters. The officials and measures on your ballot impact our country, state, communities and schools. Elected leaders guide our public services, while ballot measures can directly affect school funding and more.
This November, Washington ballots include national positions like U.S. president, U.S. senator, and congressional representatives for districts 1-10. State positions include governor, lieutenant governor, secretary of state, state treasurer, state auditor, attorney general, superintendent of public instruction, commissioner of public lands, and insurance commissioner.
Ballot measures in Washington include four statewide initiatives with repeals for voters to consider. Remember that voting yes on a repeal means you are electing to remove the existing law, regulation or tax. Voting no means you elect to keep it the way it already is.
